To help us investigate your complaint, please include:

  • your name and contact details;
  • a description of your concern;
  • any relevant dates; and
  • copies of any supporting information where available.

Individuals do not need to use a specific form or refer to data protection legislation when making a complaint.

5. How we will handle your complaint

Upon receiving a complaint, we will:

  • acknowledge receipt within 30 calendar days;
  • investigate the issues raised;
  • contact you if we require any further information;
  • keep you informed where appropriate if our investigation is ongoing; and
  • provide a written outcome without undue delay.

Where we identify that an error has occurred, we will take appropriate steps to resolve the issue and explain the action taken.

6. If you remain dissatisfied

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may raise your concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
